The last little while I've been seriously looking at "where" and "how" I can improve my business. Simply, because I'm thoroughly convinced that an online business is definitely one of the best types of businesses to own.

This all started a little while ago when I started looking at incorporating a few payment systems. I seriously went to hell and back with figuring them out,and finally, "Thank God!" finding the solution which i'm very impressed with. I know it's the solution for me, and am so grateful for finally finding and putting RAP (Rapid Action Profits) to work for myself. When I say I went to hell and back, that is literally how I felt at the time. There is a lot of different things you have to tackle eventually, and well, usually you stumble with new things until you get used to working with these types of things. I really had a tough time with Butterfly Marketing and also, JVManager. I really did learn JVManager quite well, it took a lot of time, but I wasn't happy with the way it delivered products in the end. Looking back though, had it not been for that little experience I'd not of found things like understanding RAP and other programs so easily now. You see, really up until I started getting into systems like this, I was pretty much an affiliate marketer, and was doing quite good with Resale Rights products. I guess it was time to move ahead again.

As far as the list building portion of my business, I'm confident that the choice I've made with that has been the proper one for quite some time. I mean, with Viral Spiral being the engine, the Honest Brands site continues to build itself for us and it's members on autopilot. This does require effort, mind you, to get the ball rolling. If many members of the site would start really working the system it provides for them, I'm sure they would be surprised with the results in time. It truly will start to build your list and profits virally, hence Viral Spiral!

The latest thing I've been really needing to improve upon is web site traffic. I really needed to start and get a hold of generating more traffic, and lately I've found some great solutions for it.

Firstly, I'm thrilled with the IMBuzz membership which gives me a brand new viral software every month to rebrand, rename, and moreless make it my own and distribute it either freely or selling it. With the softwares I decide to sell, I've been really offering them for a low, low price. It also will work very well for Honest Brands members since they can make 100% profits, with the integration of RAP, and help them with their businesses to. So with that, I completely feel I've found a winner with helping our members of the site. It also helps with traffic, because of it's viral nature, very impressive stuff.

The next area that really needed some attention once again was with search engine rankings and gaining more traffic with that area. I was so wrapped up in technical hell for a while, that I'd sort of let this area slide for a bit. There is only so many hours in a day..after all. But it's time to work on that again, and also with the web 2.0 traffic generation strategies outlined in The Traffic Manifesto by Ross Goldberg.

I mean, I can't forget about the foundations I've learned from Holly Mann once again, can I? No, No, No, that wouldn't be wise. Been there, done that before, and I'm not going to start over again! By the way, Holly has a great little blog happening herself now to. It's called Honest Holly if you'd like to check it out.

I took a big plunge this month and joined Article Underground. I'm very, very impressed thus far with this membership.

The main reason I had for joining was that, Article Underground membership comes with a huge network of blogs to be utilizing for building great backlinks fast! Most of these blogs are a PR 3 and higher, and having this linking power at my fingertips is great, great, great! There are 35 blogs with the membership, but members have also donated 60 blogs or so, that only members can utilize to. So that's like 95 blogs for members to access to get their sites indexed fast and get some great search engine rankings. Wow, what a tight bunch hey...! The Groovytastic Blog Digger released a week or two ago is great for finding blogs to get links from to, both of these working in conjunction with one another is a great thing.

I've been a member of PLR Pro before, and had a look at Article Underground quite closely to, and did a comparison of the two in a report I'd written a while back. The report should have actually stated that in terms of both memberships they are pretty close to being equal. At the time I'd written it, I hadn't discovered that the article packs that come to you at Article Underground are rarely downloaded by all 350 members, but in many cases, under 200 people ever use and alter the same article packs. So, when you think about it, this pretty much evens the score between the two mega force PLR sites. But either way you look at it, the report still did say that they are by far the best memberships of this type around.

One thing to note about Article Underground is some of it's members. I'm sure these people are members for a reason. I'm talking about some of the top marketers around being members. Michael Cheney, Neil Shearing, Jonathon Leger, and many more top marketers are members. I even noticed Jason Katzenback, one of the owners of the great Portal Feeder membership site posting on the blog network. These marketers don't play around, so I'm very confident in my membership there.

So I feel I'm on another great business building path once again. The results of some of these methods and strategies are really starting to pay off already. Yeah, it's been a bit of haul getting some of these things to work, mainly the technical stuff I mentioned earlier.

So why is it one of the best businesses to own? Well, all things considered, the overhead of an online business is much lower than any other type of business you will ever get into. It's also very cool when you do get past your stumbling blocks. Also, my business is only about 4 steps away from my bed when I wake up every day. I have my computer set up in my bedroom, so, tell me another business where it's easier than that to get to work everyday!

After watching it, I thought it would be funny to parody it like mad movies with voice overs and sound effects. Well, very quickly I found out that dozens of other people already had the same idea and one in particular did the best and also got by far the most views. His handle is klaatu42 and his parody was RE Cat Talking, Translation, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JynBEX_kg8. This guy did what I was thinking of doing. Undeterred, i thought of other ideas that I could do to stand out. i actually came up with not one, but two video responses using my own flavor of humor. This way I could have one response for both the original video and the almost as popular klaatu42 parody.

I had fun doing this, even though it did take me several hours of editing to do them since I had never done much with overdubbing. But it was a good learning process on video making.

The results of doing these videos was that I ended up with top 100 honors for the first few weeks in the pet catagories. Also, what's more, they both received 1000s of views - 7 to 8 thousand each, which is way more views than all of my other videos i had done in the past. And this was achieved in just a few weeks.

There are particular moments in life that when you wish you could depend on anybody’s self improvement advice. But even if they gave it to you with the best intentions, in case anything goes wrong, you are always going to blame those persons.

Do not forget to write down the answers. Try to concentrate and to be sincere. After all, nobody will judge you.

All these questions will help you determine exactly where you stand and what is it that you want form life. All you have to do is to get the right interpretation of your own replies.

In order to do that, help yourself to a coup of tea or your favorite coffee and take the time to analyze them thoroughly. Mark with a red pen whatever you find pride worthy answers and with a black one the things that do not make you proud.

Post the list somewhere where you can see it more than once a day, or post it in more than one place.

You will notice that, step by step, even unwillingly, the black things on your list will start turning red. Do not forget to renew the list when most of it has turned red! It is the best way to always be aware what your expectations from life are.

In the previous article on this topic, I covered the main types of links you want to get for your site. On the last part, I will clearly state which types of links to stay away from pursuing, and I will further explain some misconceptions about the good types of links.

Do not do this to your links. (1) Placing a form on your site and then allowing anyone to add a link to your site using an automated process. If you do not manually approve these links, well, you are asking for "link problems". Manually approve these links before posting them. What works, takes work...

(2) Denying a link based solely on a low or non existing PageRank. What a mistake! PageRank is not only outdated, it is also less relevant that it was in the past. As long as it is related to your site, what really matters here, is that the site your are reviewing is indexed or not. That is the key issue, not its popularity. This also applies outside the regular sites circle, to niche directories, smaller engines, etc.

(3) Sites that exchange links with you, but at a later time they do a "nofollow" on your link, or they just simply take it down. That is why you need to check your backlinks periodically to verify the status of these links exchanges.

(4) Sites with faked PageRank. Yes, they are all over. The problem is that you are doing an exchange link or buying a link from a site that doesn't have the PageRank they claim to (offending domains use a 301 or 302 redirects that point their sites to sites with a high PageRank) and instead getting your genuine PageRank added to them as a trade, or your money.

Considering link exchanges. This one is not easy, (see above) but also a good way if done right. How? Well, to start look for sites with lots of quality content that is directly related to yours. In this area, articles that are good introductions to your products or services create an opportunity. Focused on your visitors, look for resource pages that would increase their experience. Look for forums that allow actual links to be passed, as there are lots of then available, especially from authority sites, educational and governmental entities. And last, but not least, look for "information paths", in other words, pages that lead visitors to additional information on a product or service.

Article swapping for links. This one is very good. When you swap articles with a related site in your industry (for the most benefit) plus you add your own comments (preferably in a different color, hint: blue) to the article you are posting on you site (to avoid duplicate content among other things) this allows you to have additional content on your site, plus the immediate benefit of a properly implemented reciprocal link.

Some people have a 'rich' mentality; others (which is most people) either have a 'poor' mentality or a 'comfortable' mentality. You mentality determines your general, habitual level of wealth. Although there might be ups and downs, a person with a poor mentality will generally always be poor. What happens to lottery winners? If they have a poor person's mentality, they're going to loose the cash., so they might be rich for a while, but in the end, they finish up poor again, or even in debt - worse than they were before! I came across a story on MSN that makes the point very well. For me, the most telling quotation is from a study which concluded that 'people who come into a windfall will typically put buying a house as No. 1 in list of 12 choices, while investing is No. 11.' That says it all. These people don't have a clue.

On the other hand, 'rich mentality' people are going to be rich no matter what. The stock market might crash, their business might burn down, or whatever. But they'll build it up again and in the end they'll finish up rich.

Most people have a mixture of rich and poor mentalities - they're happy to be 'comfortable.' they're happy with the four bedroom semi detached house, the two middle of the range cars in the front drive, the local private school for their kids, a couple of holidays a year, maybe business class.

Where do these mentalities come from? Well I suppose we get them from our parents. As Philip Larkin wrote, 'They fill you with the faults they had, and add a few more just for you.' My own parents were (and still are) poor and I guess they filled me with a 'poor man's' mindset. But before we start blaming our parents for all the evils of the world and, especially, of our own situation, remember that 'they were f****d up in their turn' and that 'man hands on misery to man. It deepens like a coastal shelf.' But this doesn't mean we have no choice. when I look back over my life, it's clear that until I became conscious about my habitual thinking patterns, I did live a rather shabby and poor existence. But I changed, I took control, I started to consciously orchestrate my life. And that's the point. In the end, you are responsible for your life - you cannot blame or thank anyone but yourself. If you're poor - you did it. If you're rich - you did it.

It's all about knowing you are in control and choosing your future. You don't have to be afraid because you are in control. You are not the victim of the unseen powers of chance. What you choose is what you get.

So stop the whining, stop making excuses, get out there and be rich!
